Northwest Biodiesel Network

“Biodiesel In Your Neighborhood” 2008 Conversion Pledge Contest

Instructions for Teachers

Thank you for supporting your students in their efforts to reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions in the Seattle area.  The Northwest Biodiesel Network (www.nwbiodiesel.org), with funding from a grant from the City of Seattle’s Neighborhood Climate Protection Fund, is hosting the “Biodiesel in Your Neighborhood” Community Forum at Rainier Community Center on March 15 from 10:00 to 2:00, and this contest is part of that event.

To ensure their safety and to improve the validation of citizen’s pledges we have set up a fax and email account for the contest so that the students are not required to share their personal contact information with pledgers for the contest.

If you have students that would like to take part in this contest, please send an e-mail to nwbiopledgedrive@carboncontest.com with your name, school and the names and grades of the students.  A contest ID # for each student will then be sent back to you to give to the students.  The students can then give out this number to potential pledge makers to include with their pledge so that the right student gets credit for the reduction.

You can also fax this information and any pledges the students receive to (206) 407-2571.

For any questions, you may also contact Jeff Johnson of the Northwest Biodiesel Network at any time at (206) 313-0614.
